This is an important opportunity to have an impact on Milford's Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024
The Milford Board of Alderman will meet at 6:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2023 in the City Hall Auditorium to consider the Milford Board of Finance’s Recommended Budget for the City and Education.
A Public Hearing will take place at this meeting. Your voice, and the voices of all Milford citizens can play a key role in the Aldermen's deliberations. Please spread the word and attend this meeting!
In recent weeks, you may have heard this recommended budget has reduced the amount requested by the Board of Education by over 1.8 million dollars.
MilfordEd Advocates reports: "The Board of Finance’s recommended budget falls short of required costs for current programs and teacher salary obligations. This decision will require cuts to current programming and staff. It will have a devastating impact on Milford schools."
More information about the Education Budget may be found on both the MilfordEd Advocates and the Milford Public Schools websites.
Please consider emailing your Aldermen to let your voice be heard on this key issue.
